Need an Editing Suite / Enclosed Office?

As of July 1, a two-person office on the Studio Guild’s second floor will be available for rent. The office measures 8′ x 15′ and is fully enclosed, with a lockable door. It very generously fits one person, comfortably fits two people, feasibly fits three, and could even fit four if properly set up.

It’s a great place to work, with one caveat. The office’s window faces north, through an adjacent office that fronts on 27th St. So there is no direct sunlight. Consequently, this office might be perfect for an editing suite or production studio — or great for someone who does not need a lot of natural light for their work.

Like all Studio Guild spaces, this office comes complete with all the amenties you need to start working tomorrow: high speed web, desks, utilities, cleaning service, conference room and kitchen, all 100% included in your rent. Asking price is $900. All leases are month to month.

If you are interested in visiting the Guild to see this office, or any other available desks or offices, drop us a quick note on our Work Here page.

Wind Power Certificate

Studio Guild Wind Power certificate

Studio Guild Wind Power certificate

The Studio Guild has been powered by 100% renewable, local wind energy for about two years now. But for the first time, Con Edison Solutions sent us a “Wind Power Certificate” that actually details our power from 2008.

If you can’t read the photo, it says, “In satisfaction of your 2008 purchase of WIND Power, this certificate verifies that clean, emission-free electricity in the amount shown above (6,192 kilowatt hours) was produced and delivered to the electric grid on behalf of Studio Guild LLC.”

So, in other words, the Studio Guild itself wasn’t directly hooked up to a wind farm upstate. But, the total energy we took out of the grid was equal to the amount we paid upstate wind farmers to put into the grid.

It’s a start!
